You're invited to Celine Dion's 50th Birthday!
Tickets: sainteceline.brownpapertickets.com
Céline Dion—golfer, singer, mother—turns 50 on March 30th and comedians/pop culture savants, Tranna Wintour and Thomas Leblanc, are marking the once-in-a-lifetime occasion with an extravagant, hysterical show that celebrates and (lovingly) desecrates the queen of Québec. Sainte Céline: A New, New Day is an entirely new show that promises to be even bigger and better than its predecessor (which garnered rave reviews and ran for three sold-out nights in OFF JFL/Zoofest 2016). It features an all-star cast of Montreal’s greatest talent from the worlds of music, drag, dance, theatre, and comedy, lead by the incomparable Crystal Slippers, who plays the role of Céline to absolute perfection. From Eurovision to her tacky wedding to manager/creator René Angelil; from “My Heart Will Go On” to her battles with infertility and the very public grieving of René’s passing, until now, most importantly, in her latest incarnation as handbag designer, we have always been there for Céline and she has always been there for us. The point being: of course we have to celebrate her 50th birthday. How could we not?
